Popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has officially parted ways with her partner, known on social media as “Oil Money,” following revelations of infidelity and deceptive behavior. The actress, visibly disheartened, took to her Instagram story to air her grievances and provide insight into the breakdown of their relationship, which she said was marred by lies, betrayal, and a disturbing hunger for fame, as reported by DAILY POST.
Angela revealed that the man she once proudly showcased as her significant other had, behind the scenes, been involved in romantic affairs with several women within the Nollywood film industry—some of whom were her colleagues. She accused him of using their relationship as a stepping stone to gain access to influential figures, particularly women with status and wealth in the entertainment world.
In a statement that appeared in a report by Daily Post, Angela did not hold back in expressing her sense of betrayal and emotional exhaustion. She described her ex-boyfriend as someone who had carefully crafted a charming public image while hiding his true intentions. According to her, his interest in her was not born of love or admiration, but of calculated ambition and a desire to elevate his social standing by associating with high-profile individuals.
The actress disclosed that Oil Money’s behavior gradually revealed a pattern: he was more interested in using her as a gateway into celebrity circles than building a meaningful relationship. She was particularly appalled when, during a private exchange, he reportedly bragged about his goal to become intimate with wealthy and powerful women across Lagos and within Nollywood. That conversation, she said, was a pivotal moment that confirmed his lack of sincerity and emotional investment.
Angela’s reflection on the entire episode led her to a strong resolve—she will no longer make her romantic relationships public. She noted that the public exposure of her past relationship made her vulnerable to ridicule and emotional harm, especially when the man turned out to be a fraud. Going forward, she vowed to keep her personal life shielded from the spotlight until she finds someone truly worthy of her trust and love.
In her candid online remarks, Angela described her former lover as a shallow individual who is obsessed with clout and public recognition. She referred to him as a “Casanova” whose interests lie not in genuine connection, but in exploiting women to boost his ego and relevance. According to her, his character lacks depth, and he is far from the person he pretends to be on social media.
She concluded her message with a strong warning to her ex, who, she claimed, continues to share her photos online despite being blocked on all platforms. Angela made it clear that she has moved on and no longer wants any association with him. She also sent a message to other women, sarcastically suggesting that they are welcome to him if they find his behavior acceptable.
“Make una warn that mad man to stop posting my picture na. I blocked Casanova for a long time. I don leave am for Nollywood girls and more. Until I marry, you all will never see or even know what my man looks like again. Make una carry am, e fits you, not Legit Queen,” she said.
