In a recent broadcast on ESET TV, Ikenga Ugochinyere, a notable political figure, has condemned the activities of certain political actors in Rivers State, alleging that they have issued unfounded ultimatums against the State’s leadership and government. Ugochinyere interrogated the intentions underlying these calls, asserting, “You are presenting an unfounded ultimatum to the Rivers State Chairman to annul the election.”
Fortunately, he has resolved the matter and is not making any public appearances. He underscored the significance of compliance with the rule of law, especially concerning local government elections and the budget.
“Adhere to the ruling regarding the local government election and the budget, provided that the governor has personally inscribed it, submitted it to the House of Assembly, and also made an appearance,” stated Ugochinyere. The political figure expressed exasperation at what he views as an effort to subvert the state’s advancement. They believe Fubara is incapable of accomplishing it. He has departed to preside, and these boys have scurried beneath the bed.
Ugochinyere forcefully criticised those who oppose the state’s existing administration, implying that their activities would result in detrimental effects for the citizens of Rivers. “Tomorrow, as a member of the House of Assembly, you will arrive to solicit votes in Rivers, the very Rivers you intend to deprive of sustenance.” He suggested, “I believe our people should commence mobilisation.” Ugochinyere urged Rivers inhabitants to join and demonstrate their might, proclaiming, “The time has come.”
They have confronted you for an extended period. They inform you that there is no autonomy in your role, as you have a superior. It is imperative to commence mobilisation to convey that when the populace unites for an individual, they cannot supersede the collective will.
